Well, the USA has had it for over a year... or were they simply testing it for the U.K.? One thing we know for sure is that in the 12 months since its successful Transatlantic launch it has undergone some further enhancements in flavour and improvements in the 'fizz' technology, so that when it landed on our shores a couple of weeks ago, this energy drink was absolutely perfect.

What is LiftOff and what does it do?
LiftOff is our latest addition to the Herbalife family. It's a new kind of energy drink, in a portable, effervescent form and contains approximately 72 milligrams of caffeine per serving. This is about the same as a 250ml cup of brewed coffee or two caffeinated soft drinks. It’s easy to use, simply by dropping one tablet into 250ml water for instant 'on the move' energy.

Is Caffeine safe?.
Yes. Moderate use of caffeine is safe for the majority of individuals, unless there is caffeine sensitivity or restriction due to certain health conditions. In his book 'The L.A. Shape Diet', Doctor David Heber dismisses the bad press that it has received over the years. He details scientific evidence that supports the use of caffeine in weight reduction, as well as several studies addressing and validating its safety. In short, it is often not caffeine but beverages that contain it (like coffee) that gives concern and Heber recommends that caffeine should ideally be taken in the form of supplements or special teas/drinks where a caffeine blend has been added.

I am currently training for the London Triathlon in August, and as part of my preparation to improve  fitness levels I have joined a running club. When I turned up at 9.30am this morning, I found a group of women whose ability ranged from beginners (like me!) to very experienced.  I was expecting to stop or walk at regular intervals to catch my breath, but fuelled with a Herbalife smoothie for breakfast and my new water bottle filled with the delicious Ignite-Me Orange Lift Off, I ran non-stop with the lead group for 4.2 miles in open countryside in less than one hour.

I use LiftOff when I am working late into the night. It gives me the ability to continue through and doesn’t disrupt my sleep when I do eventually get to bed. I have also found that when stuck in traffic jams, or travelling slowly to a destination, drinking LiftOff instead of just water keeps me alert and aware.

All weekend I kept forgetting to try my sample of LiftOff. It had been a long day and I was beginning to tire on the drive home. I had the windows open, my music on loud... After a long 10-hour day at work I find it very difficult to motivate myself to get to the gym, but once I take LiftOff I feel energised, focused and ready to do a good training session. I have recently increased the amount of running I've been doing in readiness for the Triathlon. However, on a Monday after a busy weekend, it is fair to say I usually wouldn't attempt a run first thing in the morning. I took a LiftOff, and despite the fact that I knew my body was tired, I ran for a strong 35 minutes across hilly terrain, keeping up with my long-legged husband all the way until the sprint finish!
